The Edge can be setup to automatically send out email and/or text notifications. When working with service jobs, such as repairs, selecting a Notify option on the job record will automatically alert the customer when the job is ready. Additionally, you can create rules to send out notification when specific criteria are met. See Automated Notifications for information on creating rules.
There are two types of notifications: customer and associate.
Customer notifications include things such as alerting a customer their job is ready for pick up, remind them to come in for a clean and check, remind them to get an appraisal updated, and much more.
Associate notifications include things such as alerting an associate they have an upcoming appointment, a task was assigned to them, one of their opportunities was updated, and much more.
Create Email Templates or SMS (Text) Templates to customize these. Available types include:
