Customers: Remove Deceased Spouse


This article describes the best practices for removing a deceased spouse.  If this is a divorced spouse, see Customers: Remove Divorced Spouse for best practices.

To remove a deceased spouse from a customer:

  1. Use Customer > Find to find and edit the living customer.
  2. Click Supervisor > Remove Spouse.
  3. This will unlink and separate their records.
  4. While still viewing the living customer's record, click Supervisor > Merge Customer and select the Merge option.
  5. Use the drop-down on the left to find the deceased spouse to be consumed.
  6. Select any contact details you wish to take when the merge is completed.
  7. Save the customer record.

NOTE: The merge will move all sales activity to the living spouse.
