If you are donating an item to a tax exempt organization you will use the More button at POS on the item line, and select "Donation".
This will require the customer to be marked as tax exempt and have a tax ID on file which will be on the OPTIONS tab of the Customer Record after you select Notes/Edit at POS.
We do not have any verification process for the tax IDs. If this is an organization which will be sending you their ID, enter "Tax ID needed" into the field for you to enter at a later date.
Alternatively, if you are giving the item away for 100% discount, for a sale or promotion, you can use MORE > Giveaway.
