Can I Close or Finish a Physical Inventory without Reconciling?

Yes, you can finish a physical inventory without further reconciliation. Any records not reconciled will show up on the Errors Report, and any pending counts for bulk inventory items will be lost. What this essentially means is that the inventory QTY levels will be as if you did NOT take physical inventory for those items.

Closing a Physical Inventory

1. Click Inventory > Physical Inv > Finish
2. On the finish screen, reconcile any items you wish to manage before closing, if applicable.
3. After reconciling, click Finish Now.

NOTE:  It will prompt you for an ID/Pass.  Special permission is needed to Finish a Physical Inventory if there are items remaining which have not been reconciled.

Cancel a Physical Inventory

Alternative to closing a Physical Inventory, you may instead cancel your inventory by following the steps below:

1. Navigate to Inventory > Physical Inv. > then click either Continue Inv. or Finish Inv.  
2. Highlight the name of the inventory you are looking to cancel.
3. Click the Cancel Inventory button

Once a Physical Inventory has been finished or cancelled, you can then start a NEW inventory at any time.
