Customer Find: General Tab


The General tab of the Customer Find Filter is used to search on basic customer details such as name, address, and phone.

Fields and options on this tab include:

Last Name Search by last name
First Name Search by first name
Spouse/Partner Search by customer's spouse/partner's first name
Company Search by company name
Company Account Select whether to include customers marked as company accounts
  • Checked - Only include company accounts
  • Unchecked - Do not include company accounts
  • Square Check - Include customers and company accounts
Tax Exempt Only display accounts marked Tax Exempt
Phone Search by phone number
Preferred Phone Only Select whether to only include customers with preferred phone numbers
  • Checked - Only include phone numbers marked preferred
  • Unchecked - Include all phone numbers
  • Square Check - Only include phone numbers not marked preferred
Do Not Contact Select whether to include customers that have phone marked 'Do not contact'
  • Checked - Only include phone numbers marked 'Do not contact'
  • Unchecked - Include all phone numbers
  • Square Check - Only include phone numbers not marked 'Do not contact'
Cell / Mobile Numbers Only Select whether to only include customers with cell/mobile numbers
  • Checked - Only include phone numbers marked 'Cell//Mobile'
  • Unchecked - Include all phone numbers
  • Square Check - Only include phone numbers not marked 'Cell/Mobile'
Street Search by street address
City Search by city
State Search by state
ZIP Search by ZIP or postal code
Preferred Address Only Select whether to only include customers with preferred addresses
  • Checked - Only include addresses marked preferred
  • Unchecked - Include all addresses
  • Square Check - Only display addresses not marked preferred
Email Search by email address
Preferred Email Only Select whether to only include customers with preferred emails
  • Checked - Only include emails marked preferred
  • Unchecked - Include all emails
  • Square Check - Only include emails not marked preferred
Do Not Send Promo Select whether to include customers that have email marked 'Do not send promo'
  • Checked - Only include emails marked 'Do not send promo'
  • Unchecked - Include all emails
  • Square Check - Only include emails not marked 'Do not send promo'
Social Type Search by a type of social contact method.  
Preferred Social Only Select whether to only include customers with preferred social contacts
  • Checked - Only include social contacts marked preferred
  • Unchecked - Include all social contacts
  • Square Check - Only include social contacts not marked preferred
Social Address Search by social address
License # Search by driver's license number
ID # Search by the customer's Edge ID; all other criteria will be ignored
Sort Order Controls how resulting list is sorted
Inactive Account Select whether to include inactive (disabled) accounts
  • Checked - Only include inactive accounts
  • Unchecked - Only include active accounts
  • Square Check - Include all accounts
Include Customers with Hidden Contact Info Include customers with hidden contact info in search results.  See Hidden Contact Info for information on setting up and using this feature
Store Only include customers from this store
